Modern Warfare 3′s Number #1 Player Arrested
The world’s number #1 Free For All Modern Warfare 3 player has been arrested for piracy charges in an operation conducted by the FBI. Kim Dotcom, who was born Kim Schmitz, owns the file-sharing company Megaupload which was recently closed down by the US Government on pricey copyright infringement violations.
Schmitz, when in his spare time, played alot of Modern Warfare 3, managed to get to the top of the Free For All leaderboard under the gamertag “MEGARACER”. He notched up over 150.000 kills on his way to the no.1 spot, obviously putting excessive amount of time into the game.
Schmitz assets were reportedly worth $175 million, before the 39-year-old was arrested at his home in New Zealand. Many of his assets included, high priced cars, plenty of cash and ironically a collection of guns. With Modern Warfare 3 being the 2nd most pirated game last year, Megaupload most have been an influential part in it’s sharing, even before the game was released.
