DNA Auto Club

One summer weekend in 2002, Tony T$ decided to take a stab at the car team world. This had been going on for some time now, but he wanted to get his feet wet and give it a try. Equipped with a 1992 Honda Prelude, no mods whatsoever, the club “Taz-R” (Team Arctic Zero Racing) was started. The name was based off of a video game he was in production of making, titled “Arctic Zero.”

Although he had obtained a few members, it wasn’t made a “real team until 2003, when he sold the prelude and purchased a 1994 Ford Probe Se. Modded this sucker to the walls, insane paint, bodykit, strobe lights, taillights, tv, stereo, rims, just to name a few. His first member was Mike Caisse (Mitsubishi Eclipse), followed by Ben Orea (Mitsubishi Eclipse) and Tommy Basso (Geo Storm). The team had started.

Throughout the year the team had seen members come and go, but the good one’s stayed.

In 2004, he purchased a Mitsubishi Lancer SE. At a car show (Import Craze), a handful of the team members were attending this show, when one of the members wasn’t around his vehicle, a few of the other members, had a girl hop on his car and leave a few dents in his newly painted hood. Those team members thought there was nothing wrong with this, the form of disrespect was intolerable, and they were exhumed from the team. From that point on we didn’t want to keep the same name that we have had for the past 2 years.

Originally we decided on “Overdosed Tunerz” for the imports, “Overdosed Classics” for the old school rides and so on. This was a catchy name, but not catchy enough. Finally after countless meetings, the thought of DNA was conceived. With the following thought explaining it. “Everyone is different, and so is their ride. It's what sets one apart from another. It's a tie between you and your ride, this is DNA.”

The rest is history.
